I have been thinking about my last article when I “advised” buyers to buy now if the new listing meets their needs and is priced to current market conditions. Most experts agree that “timing” the market is a question no one knows the answer to. It is truly unpredictable. Keeping in mind the advice I offer is based on 40 years of experience working with buyers and sellers on Sanibel. In addition, we have owned and built three homes on Sanibel and have also bought and sold several lots.
During this period we experienced record high interest rates and three “booms” and three recessions. Over the long run, owning Real Estate on Sanibel turned out to be a good investment. Right now, we are in a “boom.” Unless we have a catastrophic event, we expect this market to continue to remain strong.
