That’s right – Doc Ford’s has two locations within the islands! The concept for Doc Ford’s was created by island author-turned restaurateur Randy Wayne Wright. The restaurant’s namesake is the main character of Wright’s novels. The menu has been heavily influenced by Wright’s international travel to places such as South and Central America, Cambodia, South Africa, and Australia. In addition to the delicious travel-inspired cuisine, Doc Ford’s also offers a full bar, featuring their famous Island Mojitos! Grab your glass, have a seat, and if you’re lucky, you might even get to enjoy the live music frequently playing at both locations!

Enjoy a piece of Captiva Island’s unique history while sipping your favorite beer or wine and watching the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico! The Mucky Duck (a common name for a British pub) started off as a teahouse known as the Gulf View Inn. Over the years it became a beach house and finally a restaurant and pub! The Mucky Duck has an awesome menu, and while they don’t serve liquor, they do offer a full selection of beer, wine, and refreshing wine based cocktails you’re sure to love. Named after long-time Islander and former property owner Jimmy Cipriani, Cip’s Place is a great place to relax, chat, and have a good time. Cip’s Place celebrates some of the great people who made Sanibel Island what it is. One of its most notable features is its Wall of Faces, depicting individuals who have been influential throughout Sanibel’s history. In addition to the good vibes, Cip’s is also known for its tasty menu, as well is its great happy hour specials. Be sure to try one of our favorites, the ‘Cip’tini, made with Malibu Coconut Rum, Smirnoff Vodka, pineapple and grenadine.
