Thinking about interviewing Realtors before you choose which is the right fit? You may want to consider asking some of these questions:
1. Pricing of your property. Don’t volunteer your estimate of the value of the property. Hopefully, they will supply you with recent comparable sold homes or condos and current listings that are on the market now.
2. How long will it take to generate a sale? In today’s market, it usually takes between 15 and 40 days to get an offer.
3. How long should you wait to adjust the list price if no contract? In today’s environment, 45 days, possibly sooner.
4. How often will you stay in touch with me? Will I be communicating with you or an assistant?
5. Will you provide me with information on your 3 most recent sales? I am interested in knowing how long the listing took to go under contract and how much was negotiated off the listing price.
6. Will I get feedback after the showings? Will you personally be present at the Inspection and at the Closing?
7. Do you personally represent my property when placing it on the Realtor tour for other Realtors to view?
8. Go over in detail with me, your commission rate, Closing costs and the time period for the listing. 9. Are you currently offering any incentives that would benefit me?
In conclusion, these types of questions may help you decide on an agent who is a good fit for you. And of course, I would like to have the opportunity of being one of the three agents you interview!
